Properties of the aromatic formula

The main properties of the mints are digestive, so, they act as an antispasmodic against the stomach pain. Mints are carminative, in other words, help to expel gasses from the intestine. Promote the digestive secretions and bile secretions by the liver stimulation through their choleretic properties.

Besides are recognized their properties to the respiratory system, decongesting the tracts. They´re sweaty, therefore, they evaporate body heat. In the other hand, mints relief some migraines derived from bad blood circulation by improving their flow and also help in difficult menstruation, due to their emmenagogue properties. Mints are stimulating and toning without altering the central nervous system. They can also relief the pain caused by rheumatic diseases.

Etymology of the main ingredients

PENNYROYAL, “Mentha pulegium” Etymologicaly mint comes from Latin “mintha”, Greek name of the Minta, who was a nymph that became a plant. Pulegium is an adjective that comes from Latin “pulex” by the ancient burning ritual this plant in the houses to repel these insects.
MINT, “Mentha piperita” Etimologicaly menthe comes from Latin “mintha” Greek name of the nymph Minta, who became a plant. “Piperita” refers to the spicy taste.
